Boulder Creek Men’s Club Donates to SLVUSD Scholarship Fund
Capturing the Spirit and Heart of the Community
In March representatives of the Boulder Creek Men’s Club, Dan Kelly and Bruce Johnson, presented a check in the amount of $110,000 to representatives of San Lorenzo Valley High School. Funds will be distributed among high school sports programs, scholarships to community college, and the Valley Churches United Missions annual backpack drive.
Donations were collected through the Alvin Scarborough Memorial Golf Tournament fundraiser which is held every August at the Boulder Creek Golf and Country Club. Additional funds were collected from associated silent and live auctions, private donations from individuals and valley businesses, and other local fundraising events. The Alvin Scarborough Memorial Golf Tournament fundraiser is a valley tradition. Boulder Creek Men’s Club vice president, Dan Kelly has been the head of fundraising for the last eight years.
